Solvent has been getting lots of rotation
the past couple of day's. I'm (once again)
thoroughly impressed with Jason Am's
engaging electronic simplicity. Most of the
Suction catalogue relies on this form of clean
electronics, as Suction remain's one of the
top idm label's in my book. Well, besides City
Centre Offices, which coincidentally have
released a 7" [Block 003] by Solvent also.
I could probably go on and on about the Solvent
album, so i'm going to leave it at that, i'm
sure you've read Lance's gleaming review's
and thought's on this, so that should stand
for something. In the meantime, if you haven't
looked into Suction, i HIGHLY recommend
you place your ears on them. Or glance the
website for all the details and audio clips..
www.suctionrecords.com.
Lot's of subtle ambient parts tucked away in here
as well. "Solvently One Listens" is a sonic palette
of soft melodic chords, energized beats, and precise
rhythms that will melt your heart. Literally.
Pietro.
